YMCA Preschool Education
Certified teachers and teacher aides help children prepare for kindergarten. The program builds self-esteem, communication skills, and group interaction. Children explore colors, numbers, letters, shapes, and sounds.  Activities include storytelling, art, music, cooking, creative movement, guest speakers, field trips, and special events.  Programs for ages 2 - 5 are available.

In conjunction with the Lakeshore School District, the Southtowns Family YMCA offers universal preschool. This traditional classroom format is designed to introduce academics and enhance socialization, physical activity, communication, and creative thinking.
